How It All Started
Our friendship began more than 18 years ago, and throughout that time we've supported each other through every stage of business.
When one of us had a challenge, the other was there to help. We shared ideas, solved problems and learned together.
As our businesses grew, we realised we had the same values, the same work ethic and the same goal: to make business finances simpler, clearer and less stressful for other business owners.
After years of working together behind the scenes in both the UK and Australia, creating My Bookkeeping Made Easy UK was the natural next step.
Because we believe bookkeeping should never feel complicated.
It should give you confidence, clarity and more time to focus on growing your business.
Jules is a successful business owner who believes bookkeeping should be straightforward, practical and easy to understand.
Originally from England, Jules moved to Australia, where she built a thriving bookkeeping business from the ground up. Today, she leads a team of four experienced bookkeepers and supports a wide range of businesses, from sole traders to larger companies, with particular expertise in the construction industry.
Like many business owners, Jules didn't just learn bookkeeping from a textbook. She built a successful business around it, developing efficient systems, solving real business challenges and helping hundreds of business owners gain control of their finances. Her experience spans both Australian and UK bookkeeping, giving her a broad understanding of how businesses operate in different environments.
Our friendship began over 18 years ago. Our families grew up together, our children became lifelong friends, and throughout that time we've always supported one another in business. As our businesses grew, we found ourselves constantly sharing ideas, solving problems and helping each other behind the scenes.
Kelly has spent time working alongside Jules in Australia, learning directly from her business and seeing first-hand the systems, standards and work ethic that have made it so successful.
Together, we share the same approach. We work hard, communicate clearly, keep things simple and focus on helping business owners understand their finances without unnecessary jargon or complications.
Kelly is a business owner through and through.
Nearly 20 years ago, she founded her own hair salon from scratch and has grown it into a successful business employing a team of ten. Like every business owner, she has experienced the highs, the challenges and everything in between. Managing staff, cash flow, payroll, VAT, budgets and business growth hasn't been something she's studied. It's something she's lived.
Alongside running her own business, Kelly has become a trusted business mentor within the hair industry, helping salon owners improve profitability, strengthen their teams and build more successful businesses through practical advice and real-life experience.
Over many years, Kelly has worked closely with Jules, both in the UK and Australia, learning bookkeeping directly from one of Australia's most successful bookkeeping businesses. By combining that professional training with years of hands-on business ownership, she developed a deep understanding of the financial side of running a business.
Together, Kelly and Jules realised they offered something different. They aren't bookkeepers trying to understand what it's like to run a business. They're business owners who have built successful businesses and use their bookkeeping expertise to help others do the same.

We didn't start My Bookkeeping Made Easy UK because we love spreadsheets. We started it because we've experienced first-hand how confusing and overwhelming bookkeeping can feel when you're running a business.
